Owners Bio
One branch of the family tree
James McNair, the founder and principal owner of McNair Family & Associates, LLC, was born on June 18, 1975, in Washington, D.C. Throughout his early academic career, James excelled in both academics and athletics, graduating high school with honors in Business and Finance. He also played a pivotal role in securing city championships in track and field, downhill skiing, and swimming and diving. During this time, he spent two years in the NJROTC program, where he was first introduced to the importance of structure and discipline — principles that have shaped his life and career ever since.
James continued his education at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. After graduation, he became a State Licensed Mechanical Engineer in Georgia, demonstrating his technical expertise and commitment to professional excellence.
His entrepreneurial journey took root during one of the most challenging periods in recent American history. In 2009, during the Great Recession, James was laid off from his position in the HVAC industry. Despite facing homelessness, he took a bold step and founded his own heating and air company — fulfilling a lifelong dream through sheer determination and resilience.
In 2015, James expanded his entrepreneurial efforts into real estate, successfully rehabbing properties for investors. By 2019, he had fully transitioned into real estate investing, acquiring, flipping, and managing properties and small businesses throughout the Metro Atlanta area. James developed a systematic approach that not only generated profitable returns but also revitalized communities, rebuilding neighborhoods one project at a time.
Today, James brings his broad experience in business management, construction, engineering, and community development into the logistics sector. His leadership at McNair Family & Associates, LLC is focused on scaling operations, building strong teams, and contributing to the American workforce through stable job creation and economic growth.
